LOSS OF ADHESION BETWEEN CLEARCOAT AND BASECOAT
Flaking of clearcoat as a result of loss of adhesion between the clearcoat and basecoat.
Causes
- too thick layers of basecoat and clearcoat,
- overdried basecoat,
- poor quality of coating materials.
Prevention
- apply appropriate thickness of layers,
- apply appropriate materials in accordance with the technology recommended by the manufacturer.
Repair
Sand and apply coat again.
