MISMATCH IN SHADES

Visible difference in colour between neighbouring elements.

Causes
  • differences in applied techniques for coat spraying: too thick or too thin,
  • wrong spraying gun (nozzle) or wrong spraying pressure,
  • surface fading,
  • poorly matched colour.
Prevention
  • compare shades (spray pattern of colour on the test tab),
  • apply primer in a system of spectral grey,
  • use shading technique.
Repair
Polish the neighbouring surfaces. Match the shade, sand and coat again.
